Serving Buyers and Sellers in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire
|
| The City of Lowell is the 4th largest city on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and was the center of the Industrial Revolution which helped change the face of this country. The city offers a diverse selection of housings from the large Mansions which line Andover Street in the Belvidere neighborhood, to small single family dwellings, 2-4 unit multi-family dwellings, large apartment buildings, and numerous condominiums. While there are plenty of manufacturing and industrial buildings which remain in the city, the majority of the Mill buildings in the downtown area have been converted to offices or condominiums. The downtown area has been revitalized over the past decade, and is now home to many museums, shops, restaurants, and pubs. Currently there is a large urban renewal project ongoing just outside the downtown area. The 15 acre area was formerly home to many vacant and underutilized buildings. The NEW Hamilton Canal District will be home to new condominiums, a large parking facility, many small shops and eateries, and a new courthouse. The Merrimack Valley Transit Authority provides fixed route bus service throughout the city and commuter rail service to Boston is available on Thorndike Street.
